Facial Lipofilling

Facial lipfilling procedures must be performed in a hospital or clinic under local anesthesia and sedation.
First, the fatty tissue is removed from areas such as the abdomen, flanks or pulses, taking care to avoid breaking the fat cells. Therefore, special cannula equipment must be used.
Once the fat is obtained, it is processed to purify it, we will obtain a greater concentration of fat, stem cells and blood growth factors. The result is an optimal fat for injection-lipofilling.

Thus, once the fatty implant is obtained, the process will be specially individualized according to the demands of its facial anatomy. By means of fine cannulas, its fat will be introduced in those areas where it is needed in a very meticulous way, increasing volumes and decreasing its flaccidity.

Generally, the fat filler on the face is focused on the malar area (cheeks), nasolabial folds (wrinkles between the lip and nose, wrinkles on the chin, etc ...).
The fatty filler is especially useful on the face, and, inside it, in the cheek area, since there the fat catches (survives) better and achieves a very natural result.

In others a second session is necessary or in extraordinary cases a third (always cheaper than the first. Depending on the amount of fat needed to be injected and individual factors of the patient, one or more sessions will be necessary.

Lipofilling or lipotransference is performed in the most cases with local anesthesia and sedation. With a very fine cannula fat is removed from places where it is left. Fat is usually used from below the navel, from the love handles or from the legs, depending on the constitution and preferences of the patient.
Later that fat is processed with a centrifugation machine, which allows separating the fat from other products that do not interest us (liquids, oil, blood, etc ...). The pure fat is mounted in special syringes and injected into the face from different points, very slowly and in small quantities to achieve a completely natural effect.

It is expected that you have slight discomfort in the first days after the intervention, especially a feeling of inflammation, but generally there is little or no pain. Sometimes bruises may appear on the face, which disappear after a few days.
In most cases, you can return to work in 2-5 days depending on the amount of fat infiltrated.
The first two days it is advisable to sleep with the headboard raised (several pillows) to avoid inflammation.
In the intervened area, you simply have to maintain good hygiene and carry out simple cures with the recommendations that we will give you in the subsequent consultations after the intervention.

You should avoid aggressive movements to facilitate the seizure of this fat.

• There may be relative easily treatable discomforts.

• The first days you may have the sensation of being swollen in those treated areas. You will have to wait for the inflammation and the fat loss to decrease.

• Wait a period of 3-4 months to obtain a definitive result.

• Since it is your own fat, it will behave just like you do so you should avoid fluctuations in weight greater than 10-12 kg since these injected areas could increase its volume as well.

From the first moment you will notice the difference, somewhat exaggerated by the inflammation. Remember that it is normal to lose approximately 30% of the injected fat in the first 3 months. Later it is permanent.
Rarely, infections or bruises can occur that will be reabsorbed over time.
